General Info
Program Description
Increasing global temperature and change in the level of precipitation affect human life, livelihoods and food production. As agriculture sector is the main source of food security in the world. This poses major challenges for future cropping systems to secure food and other biological resources. In this context, there is a need to develop a post-graduate academic program to respond to the previous challenges and to promote the sustainable development goals of the United Nations Summit in particular the SDG 2. This Master of Science in CCSAFS seeks to develop professionals with strong working knowledge and skills of several interrelated sciences through teaching, research and outreach activities. Graduates from CCSAFS program can contribute to addressing issues of the climate change impacts and sustainable management of resources through a curriculum and research that exposes the students to a wide range of contemporary topics. Due to the interdisciplinary character of CCSAFS students with a wide variety of backgrounds including agriculture, biological and environmental sciences are encouraged to program admission.
This Master program is offered over a period of two years. It is a 120 ECTS which consists of courses 90 ECTS and a MSc thesis 30 ECTS . The language of instruction during tuition discussions and presentations will be English.
